Rooster.bet suits a particular kind of player: someone who wants a very large pokie lobby, an account in New Zealand dollars, and limits written down where they can be found. It also suits someone happy to play each deposit through a few times before any of it comes back.

We read the terms and the bonus terms in full, opened the payments page as a New Zealand visitor, followed the licence seal to the regulator, and took our screenshots from a New Zealand connection. We did not deposit and we did not play for real money. Short version: a big lobby and clear paperwork, wrapped around bonus maths that mostly works against you.

The short answer

Strip it back and the answer is narrow. Rooster.bet works best for a player with a fixed deposit habit who treats a bonus as optional rather than the reason to sign up. The lobby is the draw, at 202 studios in the provider slider, and an NZD account saves a conversion step on every deposit. The sticking point is 40x wagering with three days to clear.

  • Good fit if: you want a pokie lobby running to 202 studios.
  • Good fit if: you want an NZD account and published withdrawal caps.
  • Good fit if: you are happy to wager each deposit three times before cashing out.
  • Think twice if: you want a welcome bonus you can clear at a normal pace.
  • Think twice if: you rely on crypto deposits staying inside your own limit.
  • Think twice if: you want a New Zealand dispute route or help service.

Six yeses out of twelve

The check asks twelve yes or no questions and answers each one strictly from published documents: the terms, the bonus policy, the payments page, the regulator’s own site. Anything vague scores nothing, because vague is not a promise. Rooster.bet lands on 6/12, earning points for a licence the regulator shows as active, a named operator with a company number and address, New Zealand not appearing on the restricted list, an NZD account, no cash-out cap on welcome bonus winnings, and publicly explained deposit limits, breaks and self-exclusion.

The misses are the telling ones: translation errors read in the casino’s favour, the casino’s decision final in bonus disputes, a processing fee that can appear on an early withdrawal while the payments page calls every method free, a 72-hour processing window rather than 24, the 3x playthrough on your own deposits, and a welcome bonus that costs more than it gives. The sixth is a straight contradiction: the offer card and the bonus terms do not describe the same offer. Our method sits in how we review online casinos.

6/12Rooster.bet meets 6 of our 12 points

  • ✓Licence shown as active on the regulator's own siteTobique validation page reached from the footer seal: Novatrix SRL, www.rooster.bet and www.rooster6.bet, operating status VALID, 11 Oct 2026; the licence holder list shows a B2C licence to 13 Mar 2027.

  • ✗No one-sided rules on wording or the final say in disputesT&C 1.7 reads translation errors in the casino's favour; bonus terms 1.11 make the casino's decisions final in a dispute.

Money

  • ✓NZD account availableNZD is listed in T&C 4.1 and the bonus terms give NZD amounts; the site runs in euros inside (T&C 11.10).
  • ✗No casino fees on deposits or withdrawalsThe Payments page lists every method as free, but T&C 9.7 lets the casino charge a processing fee on a withdrawal made before the deposit has been wagered three times.
  • ✗Withdrawals processed within 24 hours (published figure)T&C 11.6: the casino aims to process withdrawals within 72 hours of approval; bank transfers within 3 business days (11.10).
  • ✗No rule to wager your own deposit before cashing outT&C 9.7: each deposit has to be wagered three times before withdrawal.

Bonus

  • ✗Welcome bonus does not cost more than it gives (NZ$100 test)-NZ$60 left of a NZ$100 bonus after wagering.
  • ✓No cash-out cap on winnings from the welcome bonusThe only cap on deposit bonuses (bonus terms 2.4) applies to matches of 300% and above; the 100% welcome bonus has none.
  • ✗Offer card and bonus terms describe the same offerOffer card: up to $1,000, spins on John Hunter and the Book of Tut, 3 days. Bonus terms section 3: up to 1,000 EUR or NZ$1,500, spins on Gold Rush with Johnny Cash, default duration 7 days (1.3).

Protection

  • ✓Deposit limits, breaks and self-exclusion explained publiclyThe Responsible Gaming page explains deposit, loss and wager limits, a cooling-off period of 1 week to 6 months and self-exclusion from 6 months to indefinite.

One point for each question the published documents answer in the player's favour. Unclear answers score nothing until the casino clarifies them in writing.

What the welcome bonus is really worth on a hundred dollars

The offer card on the New Zealand site is simple: 100% up to $1,000, 100 free spins, 40x wagering, three days to clear. Run that on a NZ$100 deposit and the numbers turn ugly. NZ$100 at 40x means NZ$4,000 of pokie turnover. Pokies return about 96% on average, so every dollar wagered costs roughly four cents, and NZ$4,000 of spins costs about NZ$160 on average. That leaves -NZ$60 of a NZ$100 bonus. Our verdict: costs much more than it gives.

Pace is the other half of it. Three days to clear NZ$4,000 is about 1,333 spins a day at NZ$1 a spin. The offer is also described two ways. The card says up to $1,000, spins on John Hunter and the Book of Tut, 3 days. Bonus terms section 3 says up to 1,000 EUR or NZ$1,500, spins on Gold Rush with Johnny Cash, and a default duration of 7 days. A $5,000 package on the promotions page shows as €5,000 in a site banner.

100 free spins: the offer card names John Hunter and the Book of Tut (Pragmatic Play), with Gold Rush with Johnny Cash (BGaming) as the alternative; the bonus terms name only Gold Rush with Johnny Cash. Spins must be activated within 3 days; the stake per spin is not stated

How the test works: we put NZ$100 through the offer exactly as its terms read. Pokies pay back about 96 cents per dollar staked on average, so every NZ$1 of wagering costs about 4 cents. What is left of the bonus after that cost is its real value. It is an average, not a forecast: a single session can land far above or below it.

The catch sits in bonus terms 2.2. While a bonus is active, any single bet above NZ$7.50 can forfeit every winning from that bonus, and doubling features and bought bonus rounds count towards that bet. No cash-out cap appears in the terms for the welcome or the reloads, so that part is clean. If you want the arithmetic for your own deposit size before claiming, run it through our wagering calculator.

The reloads under the same test

Deposits two to four and the weekly reloads go through the identical method: bonus times 40 for the turnover figure, costed at four cents a dollar. The results are just as lopsided, and the longer clocks on the smaller bonuses help less than they sound.

Each offer is put through the same test: NZ$100, or the offer's minimum deposit if that is higher, and an average cost of 4 cents per NZ$1 wagered on pokies.

Deposit two (ROOSTER2) is 50% up to $1,000 with 50 spins: a NZ$50 bonus, NZ$2,000 turnover, around NZ$80 of cost and -NZ$30 left. Deposit three (ROOSTER3) runs the same 50% shape at up to $1,500 and lands on -NZ$30. Deposit four (ROOSTER4) is 75% up to $1,500 with 100 spins, coming out at -NZ$45. All three give you three days to clear.

The Tuesday reload (ROOST25) is small: 25% up to $100 with 30 spins, and only after four deposits. That is NZ$25 of bonus, NZ$1,000 of turnover, about NZ$40 of cost and -NZ$15 left, with 14 days rather than 3. The Friday reload (WINGS50) is 50% with 50 spins once a week, a 7-day clock and -NZ$30 left, though the card says up to $200 while the info window says up to $300, and the bonus terms describe only the spins. Cashback and cash rewards count as bonuses, so they carry 10x wagering and winnings capped at 10x the bonus. Similar offers elsewhere sit on our reload bonus page.

Paying in and cashing out from New Zealand

NZD is an accepted account currency, so you can hold a New Zealand dollar balance. You cannot escape the euro underneath it, because the terms say the casino runs in euros inside and the payments page shows fiat minimums as a bare $30 while crypto minimums read 20 EUR equivalents. The same welcome package appears on the site as both $5,000 and €5,000.

Twelve methods show for a New Zealand visitor: Visa and Mastercard, the Paysafecard, Neosurf and Flexepin vouchers, MiFinity, and six cryptos, which are Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT, Dogecoin, Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash. Every one is listed as free, and every deposit shows as instant. Cards pay out in 1-3 banking days and the rest show as instant, while the terms add that the casino aims to process withdrawals within 72 hours of approval and that bank transfers can take up to 3 business days after that. The minimum withdrawal at Rooster.bet is NZ$30, or a 20 EUR equivalent in crypto. If speed is your priority, see our fast payout casinos.

The caps on the way out

Withdrawal limits are published: 3,000 NZD a day, 7,500 NZD across a rolling 7 days, and 30,000 NZD a month. Progressive jackpot wins are paid in full and sit outside all three caps. The terms leave room for exceptions for the most active players, and the VIP page promises higher cashout limits by invitation without naming a figure, so treat that as a maybe. Above all of them sits the 3x rule. Each deposit has to be wagered three times before you can withdraw it, and asking for a payout earlier lets the casino refuse it or charge a processing fee, even though the payments page calls every method free.

Who runs the site, and who signs the licence

Rooster.bet is run by Novatrix SRL, company number 3-102-893958, at Potrero Cerrado in the Oreamuno county of Cartago province, Costa Rica. The licence seal in the footer leads to the Tobique Gaming Commission, which describes itself as the regulator serving the Tobique First Nation. Following that seal on 11 Oct 2026 took us to the validation page at validate.thetgc.ca, which names Novatrix SRL, the Cartago Oreamuno address, both registered websites, www.rooster.bet and www.rooster6.bet, and an operating status of VALID. The regulator’s licence holder list shows Novatrix S.R.L with a B2C licence expiring 2027-03-13. Neither page shows a licence number or a grant date, so the number 0000002 comes from the casino’s own terms. If something goes wrong, support comes first, then the EGIS dispute service that works under the Tobique regulator, then arbitration in Costa Rica. Court is ruled out and a claim has to be raised within one year. We explain what an offshore regulator means for you on our gambling law page.

The limits and breaks you can set yourself

Rooster.bet publishes a full set of player tools, which is one of its six points. Deposit limits run by day, week or month, and so do loss and wager limits; lowering one takes effect at once, while raising one needs email confirmation and waits for the current limit to expire. Cooling-off runs 1 week, 1 month, 3 months or 6 months. Self-exclusion runs 6 months, 9 months, 1 year or indefinitely, set in the account or through support. Two gaps come with the paperwork. The page warns that deposit limits cannot always be applied to crypto deposits, and the terms say the casino cannot cap crypto deposits, so a crypto deposit can slip past a limit you set in good faith. The same applies to cooling-off, where fiat deposits are blocked but some crypto deposits may still go through. The help services listed are Gamblers Anonymous, GamCare and Gambling Therapy, none of them a New Zealand service.

  • ~Deposit limitsBy day, week or month. The page warns they cannot always be applied to crypto deposits, and T&C 10.5 says the casino cannot cap crypto deposits.
  • ✓Loss or wager limitsLoss limits and wager limits by day, week or month. Lowering takes effect at once; raising needs email confirmation and waits until the current limit expires. Not available for sports bets.

Inside the pokies lobby

The lobby is the strongest thing here. The provider slider lists 202 studios, among them Pragmatic Play, Play’n GO, Hacksaw Gaming, BGaming, NetEnt, Red Tiger, Games Global, Playtech, Push Gaming, Nolimit City, Relax Gaming, ELK, Thunderkick, Quickspin, Yggdrasil, Big Time Gaming, Playson, Endorphina, Novomatic, 3 Oaks, Betsoft, Evolution, Ezugi and Spribe. Next to those sit the casino’s own house games – Baccarat, Crash, Mines, Hi-Lo, Keno, Dice, Limbo and more – under a House Specials row. Categories run from Evergreens and Megaways to Hold & Win, Bonus Buy, Drops & Wins and a Live Casino. Two things matter before you carry a bonus into the Rooster.bet lobby: jackpot slots are excluded from bonus play, and no RTP figures are published, so the 96% average is taken on trust. Our pokies page section has more on how pokies work.

Clauses worth reading twice

A few lines in the terms do more work than their length suggests, and they are the ones we would screenshot before depositing.

  1. Every deposit has to be played through three times before you can withdraw it, bonus or not. Ask for a payout earlier and the casino may refuse it or charge a processing fee, although the Payments page calls every method free.

Any deposit must be wagered three (3) times the deposited amount before you may withdraw those funds. [...] The Casino reserves the right to charge a processing fee or refuse withdrawal if wagering requirements are unmet.

    T&C 9.7, version 1.0 (effective 23.02.2026), read 7 and 11 Oct 2026
  2. The welcome offer is described two ways. The offer card on the New Zealand site says 100% up to $1,000 with spins on John Hunter and the Book of Tut (Gold Rush with Johnny Cash only as an alternative) and 3 days to clear it. The bonus terms say up to 1,000 EUR or NZ$1,500, spins on Gold Rush with Johnny Cash and a default bonus duration of 7 days (1.3). The fourth deposit card adds 100 spins the terms do not mention, and the whole package shows as $5,000 on the promotions page but €5,000 in a site banner. Screenshot the offer card when you claim it.

The bonus makes 100% of the deposit amount. The maximum bonus amount is 1,000 EUR (10,000 NOK; 1,500 CAD/AUD/NZD; 1,000 BRL; 600 DOGE; 1,000 USDT; 0.0098 BTC; 1.5 BCH; 0.14 ETH; 4.25 LTC).

Bonus Policy section 3, First Deposit Bonus (last updated 15.12.2023), read 7 and 11 Oct 2026; offer card read 11 Oct 2026
  3. The welcome bonus gives you 3 days to clear 40x. On a NZ$100 bonus that is NZ$4,000 of pokie bets, about 1,333 spins a day at NZ$1.

The wagering requirement is x40. The bonus expires in 3 days after being credited.

First deposit offer card, Bonus Terms items 4 and 5, read 11 Oct 2026
  4. While a bonus is active, a single bet above NZ$7.50 (doubling features and bought bonus rounds included) can cost you every winning from that bonus.

The maximum bet while wagering is 5 EUR, 5 USD, 7.5 CAD, 7.5 AUD, 7.5 NZD, 50 NOK, 100 ZAR, or the equivalent in other currencies, unless otherwise specified. [...] Violating this rule will result in the forfeiture of all winnings derived from the bonus.

    Bonus Policy 2.2, read 7 and 11 Oct 2026
  5. Any translation mistake in the terms is read in the casino's favour, and the bonus terms make the casino's decision final in any dispute (1.11).

The main language of the Casino website is English, and any translation errors are interpreted in favour of the Casino.

    T&C 1.7, version 1.0 (effective 23.02.2026)
  6. Have your ID, proof of address and phone ready. If verification is not passed within two weeks of the request, the terms let the casino close the account and keep the balance; a pending withdrawal is also cancelled if they cannot reach you in that time (8.4).

Failure to pass verification within two (2) weeks of our request will result in account termination and funds confiscation.

    T&C 9.3, version 1.0 (effective 23.02.2026)
  7. Leave money in an account you stop using and after 12 months it starts paying a monthly fee until the balance is gone.

Once your Account becomes inactive, we reserve the right to charge a monthly dormancy fee of €20 (or currency equivalent), deducted from your remaining balance.

    T&C 12.1, version 1.0 (effective 23.02.2026)
  8. A complaint can go past the casino to EGIS, an outside dispute service that works under the Tobique regulator. Court claims are ruled out: disputes go to arbitration in Costa Rica (T&C 17) and must be raised within one year (T&C 13).

If you are dissatisfied with the outcome of our internal complaints process, you may escalate the matter to an independent ADR body.

    T&C 15.5, version 1.0 (effective 23.02.2026)
  9. Progressive jackpot wins are not squeezed through the 3,000 NZD daily cap.

Progressive jackpot wins are paid in full and do not count toward these limits.

    T&C 11.8, version 1.0 (effective 23.02.2026)

What we could not check

Every review has an edge, and here is ours: we never opened an account. The settings inside the account area were not seen by us, we cannot confirm which version of the welcome offer applies, and we have no support response times to report. The payout times on this page are the casino’s published figures, not our own stopwatch.

  • We did not deposit or withdraw real money at Rooster.bet. The payout times on this page are the casino's published figures, not our own timings.
  • We did not open an account, so the limit and self-exclusion settings inside the account area were not seen.
  • Which version of the welcome offer applies: a $1,000 or NZ$1,500 maximum, 3 or 7 days, and which slot the spins land on. Ask live chat before depositing and keep the answer.
  • The stake or value of the free spins: neither the offer cards nor the bonus terms state it.
  • The licence number 0000002 and the company number appear only in the casino's own terms. The regulator's pages show the company, the two registered websites, the status and the licence expiry date, not the number or the grant date.
  • How a payout to Paysafecard, Neosurf or Flexepin works: the Payments page lists all three as instant withdrawal methods.
  • Whether every studio in the provider list is playable from New Zealand: the T&C restrict NetEnt and some other studios by country without naming New Zealand.
  • Support response times and how long ID checks take in practice.
  • The site footer shows a bank transfer logo, but no bank transfer was in the Payments tables shown to a New Zealand visitor on 10 and 11 Oct 2026.

Questions players ask

Is Rooster.bet licensed and safe for New Zealand players?

Rooster.bet holds a Tobique Gaming Commission licence, and the regulator’s own validation page showed it as VALID when we checked on 11 Oct 2026, naming both www.rooster.bet and www.rooster6.bet. The operator, Novatrix SRL, publishes a company number and a Costa Rican address in the terms, and New Zealand is not on the restricted countries list. A regulator sits behind the site, then, just not a New Zealand one.

Can I play at Rooster.bet in NZ dollars?

Yes. NZD is an accepted account currency, so you can deposit and hold a New Zealand dollar balance. Note that the casino runs in euros internally and the payments page shows fiat minimums as a bare $30, with crypto minimums given as 20 EUR equivalents. The same package is advertised as both $5,000 and €5,000.

How fast does Rooster.bet pay out, and do I have to wager my deposit first?

The payments page shows card withdrawals in 1-3 banking days and every other method as instant, while the terms aim to process withdrawals within 72 hours of approval and allow up to 3 business days for bank transfers after that. The rule that catches people is the 3x playthrough: each deposit has to be wagered three times before you can withdraw it, bonus or not.

Is the Rooster.bet welcome bonus worth claiming?

On our NZ$100 test, no. A NZ$100 bonus at 40x means NZ$4,000 of pokie turnover, about NZ$160 of average cost and -NZ$60 left, with three days to clear it. The reloads land the same way. If you do claim one, screenshot the offer card, because the card and the bonus terms describe different maximums and durations.

I’m not your pastor, and I’m not here to save souls. But after years studying digital user behavior, working inside a gaming startup, and seeing NZ gambling law, RNG fairness, and bonus T&Cs twisted to hook players, I can’t sit quiet. I know how mobile casinos are built — I helped design some of the hooks. Now I tear them apart, call out the scams, and show players (especially the young ones) where the fun stops and the trap begins.
