Lotto Number Generator NZ

Pick random numbers for Lotto, Powerball, Strike, Bullseye or Keno. The generator uses your browser’s cryptographic random number source, the same idea as a Lotto NZ Dip: every combination is equally likely, and no set of numbers is luckier than another.

Are generated numbers less likely to win?

No. In Lotto every line of six numbers from 1 to 40 has the same 1 in 3,838,380 chance of division 1. What does change is how many people share a prize: popular picks such as birthdays (1 to 31) or patterns on the ticket are chosen by more players, so a win on them may be split more ways. Random numbers avoid that bias.

What each game needs

  • Lotto: six different numbers from 1 to 40.
  • Powerball: one extra number from 1 to 14 for each Lotto line.
  • Strike: four numbers from 1 to 40 in a set order; they are matched against the first four Lotto balls drawn.
  • Bullseye: one six-digit number from 000000 to 999999.
  • Keno: between 1 and 10 numbers from 1 to 80.
