If you keep your casino balance in New Zealand dollars and you want a pokies lobby with real depth, DragonSlots is aimed at you. The provider list names 149 studios, the account can be held in NZD, and New Zealand is not on the restricted countries list. The catches are worth knowing first: no company or licence is named anywhere on the site, the welcome bonus carries 40x wagering inside 7 days, and every deposit has to be played three times before you can take anything out.

This review comes from documents, not from play. We read the Terms and Conditions and the bonus terms in full, went looking for a licence we could check with a regulator and found none, and took screenshots from a New Zealand connection. We did not deposit, and we did not play for real money, so nothing here is a story about our own cash-out. Short version: the lobby has depth, the paperwork is thin.

The short answer

DragonSlots may suit you if the games matter more than the small print. It scores 4 out of 12 on our own check, mostly because so much basic information is missing, and the welcome bonus test leaves minus NZ$60 on a NZ$100 bonus.

Good fit if:

  • You want a pokies lobby with a broad studio list: 149 studios sit in the provider list.
  • You want your balance in NZD rather than converted from euros.
  • You want a welcome bonus with no cash-out cap written into the terms.

Think twice if:

  • You want to confirm a licence at a regulator. There is no name to check.
  • You want a week-long bonus with comfortable wagering. 40x in 7 days is a sprint.
  • You want published payout times and fees per payment method. DragonSlots does not publish them.

Four out of twelve

Our check is twelve yes or no questions, answered only from published documents. A clear yes in your favour earns a point; anything unclear scores nothing. DragonSlots met four. New Zealand is not on the restricted list, NZD accounts exist, welcome bonus winnings carry no cash-out cap, and the offer card and the bonus terms describe the same deal. It lost the other eight: no licence named, no operator or company detail, the casino’s own server logs deciding disputes, fees that return after a no-commission promise, no 24-hour payout figure, a three-times play-through rule on every deposit, a welcome bonus that costs more than it gives, and no published way to set a deposit limit.

4/12DragonSlots meets 4 of our 12 points

Paper

  • ✗Licence shown as active on the regulator's own siteNo licence is named and the footer's licence validator area is empty, so nothing could be checked at a regulator (10-11 Oct 2026).
  • ✗Operator, company number and address published in the termsThe T&C name no company, company number or address; neither do the Privacy Policy, About Us or FAQ.
  • ✓New Zealand is not on the restricted countries listNew Zealand is not on the T&C 2 restricted list; the site has a New Zealand version with NZD.
  • ✗No one-sided rules on wording or the final say in disputesT&C 18 make the casino's server logs and records the final authority in any dispute; T&C 10 make the casino the final decision-maker on breaches.

Money

  • ✓NZD account availableNZD is listed in T&C 3; the site runs in euros inside (T&C 15).
  • ✗No casino fees on deposits or withdrawalsT&C 4 say no commission, but T&C 12 allow processing costs if a deposit was played less than 3 times, and T&C 15 add a 12.5 EUR transfer fee on account closure.
  • ✗Withdrawals processed within 24 hours (published figure)T&C 15: as soon as possible, up to 3 days for some methods; no 24-hour figure is published.
  • ✗No rule to wager your own deposit before cashing outT&C 4: each deposit wagered at least 3 times on casino games before a withdrawal.

Bonus

  • ✗Welcome bonus does not cost more than it gives (NZ$100 test)-NZ$60 left of a NZ$100 bonus after wagering.
  • ✓No cash-out cap on winnings from the welcome bonusBonus terms 1c leave the welcome bonus out of the 17,000 NZD cap; no other cap is stated for it.
  • ✓Offer card and bonus terms describe the same offerThe promotions card and the offer terms agree: 100% up to 2,000 NZD, 1 bonus game and up to 250 spins (the top tier, from NZ$1,000). Wagering is only in the general terms (40x).

Protection

  • ✗Deposit limits, breaks and self-exclusion explained publiclyThe Responsible Gaming page only explains self-exclusion through live chat; T&C 13 mention deposit limits without saying how to set them; no break is described.

One point for each question the published documents answer in the player's favour. Unclear answers score nothing until the casino clarifies them in writing.

What the welcome offer is worth on a hundred-dollar deposit

The first deposit bonus is 100% up to NZ$2,000, with up to 250 free spins and 1 bonus game attached. The offer page states no wagering figure; the general bonus terms set 40x for every deposit bonus, so the sums below use that. Spins scale with your deposit, which is why NZ$100 brings 25 spins rather than 250.

On a NZ$100 bonus, 40x means NZ$4,000 of bets before any of it is yours. Pokies return about 96% on average, so each NZ$1 wagered costs roughly 4 cents. That makes the expected cost about NZ$160 against a NZ$100 bonus, leaving about minus NZ$60. You have 7 days, which works out at about 571 NZ$1 spins a day. Max bet is NZ$8, and bought features count towards it. The plus stated in the terms is that welcome bonus winnings carry no cash-out cap.

How the test works: we put NZ$100 through the offer exactly as its terms read. Pokies pay back about 96 cents per dollar staked on average, so every NZ$1 of wagering costs about 4 cents. What is left of the bonus after that cost is its real value. It is an average, not a forecast: a single session can land far above or below it.

The catch is in the terms as much as the maths. The welcome offer page gives you no wagering figure at all, so the 40x and the 7-day clock only appear in the general bonus terms. Find the number before you claim, and run your own deposit size through our wagering calculator to see what it costs.

The other offers through the same test

There is a long promotions list behind the welcome package, from a Friday reload to free spins for installing the app. We put each offer through the same NZ$100 test on paper so you can compare them.

Each offer is put through the same test: NZ$100, or the offer's minimum deposit if that is higher, and an average cost of 4 cents per NZ$1 wagered on pokies.

The second to fourth deposit bonuses cost more as they grow. At 110%, 120% and 130% the wagering is still 40x and the clock is still 7 days, but the turnover climbs to NZ$4,400, NZ$4,800 and NZ$5,200, and the test ends at minus NZ$66, minus NZ$72 and minus NZ$78. Spin tiers move with the deposit here too.

The Friday Reload gives you 30 days instead of 7, about 133 spins a day at NZ$1, but it pays out in instalments as you wager, and its promotions card overstates the percentage against the offer page. The 5% crypto reload is the one offer in our test that keeps value: 10x on a small bonus leaves roughly NZ$3 in your favour. It is small, and it starts from your fifth deposit. Winnings from other deposit bonuses are capped at 17,000 NZD, and no-deposit spin winnings are capped at NZ$75.

Paying in and cashing out from New Zealand

Your account can be held in NZD, and deposits start at NZ$10, which is the published minimum. Moving money is less clear. DragonSlots has no public payments page: the footer payment area is empty for a New Zealand visitor, and there is no payments page in the site’s page list. The methods we can name come from the FAQ and the terms, and nowhere else.

That list runs to Visa, Mastercard, Skrill, Neteller, Jeton, ecoPayz, Perfect Money, bank transfer, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Flexepin and Kinguin. No payout times and no fees are published per method. One detail to note: Mastercard payouts are not available to New Zealand cards, because card payouts only go to the countries named in the terms and New Zealand is not among them. Visa payouts are supported. The terms promise the casino takes no commission, yet they also allow it to charge its processing costs when a deposit has not been played three times.

DragonSlots has no public payments page: the footer's payment area is empty for a New Zealand visitor and no payments page exists in the site's page list. This table is built only from what public pages show: the FAQ answer "Which deposit and withdrawal methods does Dragonslots have?" (read 10 Oct 2026, on screen again 11 Oct 2026), T&C 13 (the 10 USD/EUR/NZD minimum deposit; Skrill, Neteller, Flexepin and Kinguin vouchers, CoinsPaid for crypto) and T&C 15 (card payout countries, bank transfer minimum, intermediary bank charges). The FAQ also lists Interac, a Canadian method, which is left out. No payout times or fees are published per method; T&C 4 say the casino takes no commission, but T&C 12 and 15 allow charges (see the limits).

The limits on the way out

Payouts are described as as soon as possible, up to 3 days for some methods, with the FAQ putting ID checks at around 72 hours. If speed matters, compare our fast payout casinos. The caps are 4,000, 16,000 and 50,000 EUR a day, week and month, with exceptions possible at higher VIP status and progressive jackpots paid in full. Minimum withdrawals are 10 EUR/USD equivalent, or 500 by wire transfer. The site runs in euros inside, so the amount taken from your card can differ slightly from the cashier figure.

Who runs it, and who licenses it

Nothing on DragonSlots names a company, company number, address or licence. About Us says licences can be checked through a validator link in the footer, but that area is empty for a New Zealand visitor on both the phone and desktop layouts, so there was nothing to check at a regulator. The complaints clause sends you to a regulator listed on the website, and none is listed. In a dispute, the casino’s own server logs are the final authority. Verification runs on a two-week clock, and missing it closes the account and keeps the winnings. An account you stop using starts paying 10 EUR a month after 12 months without a login. What that means for a New Zealand player is simple: there is no local regulator to take a complaint to, and the casino’s records decide. Our guide to gambling law sets out how offshore licensing works.

Disputes go to
Support first, then escalation inside the casino; T&C 18 then point to "the licensing regulator listed on the Website", but no regulator is listed. The casino's server logs and records are the final authority (T&C 18)

Limits and breaks you can set

The Responsible Gaming page explains one tool: self-exclusion, set up by contacting support through live chat. No periods are given. Deposit limits appear in the terms only to say they cannot be applied to voucher and crypto deposits, and how to set them is never described publicly. There is no cooling-off break, no loss limit and no session reminder anywhere we could find. The only help service linked is BeGambleAware, and no New Zealand service is named. We did not open an account, so the settings inside the account area were not seen.

Pokies and studios in the lobby

The lobby is the part of DragonSlots with the most detail in the documents. The provider list names 149 studios, among them Pragmatic Play, Play’n GO, Hacksaw Gaming, Nolimit City, NetEnt, Relax Gaming and BGaming, with Evolution for live games. Categories cover pokies, Megaways, Hold & Win, Bonus Buy, Drops & Wins, Fast Games and jackpots, and games show a demo mode on the lobby tiles, so you can try games without depositing. Nothing in the documents we read states an RTP figure for the lobby.

Clauses worth reading twice

A few lines in the terms are worth reading twice. Processing costs can be charged after a no-commission promise. There is a three-times play-through on every deposit. The casino can label you a bonus hunter at its discretion and void winnings, and a bonus-to-wager ratio over 40% counts as abuse. It can also change the bonus terms at any time.

  1. Nobody is named as the operator. The T&C, the Privacy Policy, About Us and the FAQ give no company name, company number, address or licence. About Us says the licences can be checked through a validator link in the footer, but the footer's validator area was empty for a New Zealand visitor on both the phone and the desktop layout, so there was nothing to check at a regulator.

We hold various licenses and certifications from the gambling regulatory bodies to prove our reliability, which you can always verify by clicking the license validator link in the footer section of our website.

About Us, read 11 Oct 2026; site footer checked 10 and 11 Oct 2026
  2. The welcome offer page gives no wagering figure. The general bonus terms set 40x for every deposit bonus, and the offer gives 7 days. On a NZ$100 bonus that is NZ$4,000 of bets in a week, about 570 NZ$1 spins a day, with a NZ$8 max bet.

1k. All deposit bonuses must be wagered x40.

Bonuses - General Terms 1k; First Deposit Bonus terms 4 ("Bonus should be wagered within 7 days."), read 11 Oct 2026
  3. Every deposit has to be played through three times on casino games before you can ask for a withdrawal, bonus or not.

The deposit amount must be wagered at least 3 (three) times for Casino/Live Casino bets and/or 1 (one) time for Sports bets prior to requesting a withdrawal.

    T&C 4, last updated 05.08.2024 (read 10 Oct 2026, on screen 11 Oct 2026)
  4. The same section says the casino takes no commission, but the anti-fraud section lets it charge its processing costs if you withdraw before playing a deposit three times. Closing an account with money in it costs 12.5 EUR for the bank transfer.

Please note that if you requested a withdrawal, but the total amount of bets made since the last deposit is less than three (3) times the size of that deposit, the Casino reserves the right to charge you the costs of transaction processing for deposit and withdrawals.

    T&C 12 (Anti-Fraud Policy) and 15, last updated 05.08.2024
  5. Verification runs on a two-week clock. The casino can ask for a phone call, a selfie with ID or a video check, and if you do not pass in time the account is closed and the winnings kept.

If the player does not pass the procedure within two weeks, the account will be permanently closed and the winnings confiscated.

    T&C 12 (Anti-Fraud Policy); the same rule in T&C 14, last updated 05.08.2024
  6. In a dispute the casino's own records decide, and the casino is the final judge of whether you broke its terms. The complaints clause sends you to a licensing regulator listed on the website, but none is listed.

In the event of any dispute, you agree that the server logs and records shall act as the final authority in determining the outcome of any claim.

    T&C 18 and 10, last updated 05.08.2024
  7. Leave money in an account you stop using and it starts paying a monthly fee after a year.

If your Player Account is deemed to be inactive, the Casino reserves the right to charge a monthly administrative fee of 10 EUR or the equivalent in another currency (or the current balance of your account, if less) as long as the balance of your account remains positive.

    T&C 17, last updated 05.08.2024
  8. Card payouts depend on the card. Visa payouts are supported for New Zealand cards, but Mastercard payouts only go to cards issued in a list of European countries, Turkey and the UK, so a Mastercard depositor in New Zealand will be paid by another method.

The website supports payouts via Original Credit Transfer (OCT) from Visa and via Payment Transfer from Mastercard. Additional requirements are that the respective credit card is not a corporate credit card and issued in a supported country.

    T&C 15, last updated 05.08.2024
  9. The welcome bonus is left out of the 17,000 NZD cap that applies to other bonus winnings, and no other cap is stated for it.

1c. The maximum winnings that will be paid out resulting from a cashback bonus, a comp points bonus, a tournament bonus, any deposit bonus, VIP bonus, a weekly bonus, except for welcome bonus will be 17,000 NZD / 10,000 EUR / 10,000 USD (or the equivalent in another currency).

    Bonuses - General Terms 1c, read 11 Oct 2026
  10. Progressive jackpots are not squeezed through the daily, weekly and monthly withdrawal limits.

All progressive jackpot winnings will be paid out in full.

What we could not check

Quite a lot, and we would rather say so than paper over it. The payout times on this page are DragonSlots’ own published figures, not our timings, because we never moved money through the site.

  • We did not deposit or withdraw real money at DragonSlots. The payout times on this page are the casino's published figures, not our own timings.
  • We did not open an account, so the limit and self-exclusion settings inside the account area were not seen.
  • Who runs DragonSlots and which licence it holds. No company, company number, address or licence is named in the T&C, Privacy Policy, About Us or FAQ, and the footer's licence validator area was empty for a New Zealand visitor on 10 and 11 Oct 2026 (phone and desktop layouts). There was no seal to follow, so no licence was checked at any regulator.
  • There is no public payments page. The cashier table comes from the FAQ list of methods and T&C 13 and 15; minimum deposits per method, payout times and fees per method are not published, and we could not tell which methods actually work from New Zealand.
  • The welcome offer page states no wagering figure; we used the general bonus terms (1k: 40x for all deposit bonuses).
  • Whether the 2nd to 4th deposit bonuses count as the welcome bonus that bonus terms 1c leave out of the 17,000 NZD cap. Bonus terms 2e call the second deposit a stage of the welcome bonus, but the offer pages do not say.
  • The value of the welcome free spins is not stated anywhere.
  • The first deposit terms ask for $20.00 "or equivalent in another currency", the same page lists NZD tiers from 20 NZD, and the general bonus terms 1f set 25 NZD for deposit bonuses ("may vary in different bonuses"). We used NZ$20 from the offer page.
  • The Friday Reload card on the promotions page says 150% up to 1,500 NZD + 150 FS; the offer page lists 100%, 125% and 200% tiers, with 1,500 NZD only at 200% from a NZ$600 deposit. We used the offer page.
  • The Crypto Reload maximum of 150 NZD appears only on the promotions card; its terms give no maximum and no period to finish the 10x, so expiry is left blank.
  • The affiliate link lands on dr4gonslots.com; the pages name dragonslots.com as the main address and support uses @dragonslots.com. We did not check dragonslots.com separately.
  • Support response times and how long ID checks take in practice.

Questions we get asked

Who runs DragonSlots and is it licensed?

Nobody is named. The terms, the privacy policy, the About Us page and the FAQ give no company name, company number, address or licence. About Us points to a licence validator in the footer, but that area was empty for a New Zealand visitor, so there was no licence to check at any regulator.

Is the DragonSlots welcome bonus worth taking?

On a NZ$100 bonus, 40x wagering means NZ$4,000 of bets, which costs about NZ$160 on average and leaves about minus NZ$60. You get 7 days and a NZ$8 max bet. The one clear plus is that the terms set no cash-out cap on welcome bonus winnings.

Do I have to wager my deposit before withdrawing at DragonSlots?

Yes, bonus or not. Each deposit has to be played at least three times on casino and live casino games, or once on sports bets, before a withdrawal. Cash out earlier and DragonSlots may charge its processing costs for both the deposit and the payout.

Does DragonSlots charge fees on withdrawals?

The terms say the casino takes no commission. Two charges are still written in: processing costs if you withdraw before playing a deposit three times, and 12.5 EUR for a manual bank transfer if you close your account with a balance. Bank transfers can also pick up intermediary bank charges up to 16 EUR equivalent, and no per-method fees are published.

I’m not your pastor, and I’m not here to save souls. But after years studying digital user behavior, working inside a gaming startup, and seeing NZ gambling law, RNG fairness, and bonus T&Cs twisted to hook players, I can’t sit quiet. I know how mobile casinos are built — I helped design some of the hooks. Now I tear them apart, call out the scams, and show players (especially the young ones) where the fun stops and the trap begins.
