✓ on record ~ partly or unclear ✗ missing or against you ? not checked
Mirax runs a New Zealand-facing site with an NZD account, a lobby with a provider filter, and a four-part welcome package. That mix suits a certain kind of player: someone who wants a wide pokies selection, a balance in their own currency, and a cashier that takes e-wallets or crypto rather than a card.
There are catches worth knowing before you sign up. Card deposits and withdrawals cost 2.5% each way, every deposit must be wagered three times before it can leave, and an active welcome bonus caps you at a NZ$2 spin for 14 days. Against that, the match bonus has no cash-out cap. We wrote this from documents rather than play: we read the terms, the bonus terms and the promotions page in full, opened the payments page as a New Zealand visitor, followed the licence seal to the regulator, and took our screenshots from a New Zealand connection. We did not deposit, play or withdraw real money at Mirax. In a sentence: a big lobby with a fair bonus shape and a few terms quirks to read first.
Does it suit the way you play?
The blunt summary: Mirax is generous where it costs least and firm where it costs you. Free cash-outs on the match bonus, high withdrawal ceilings and a wide studio list on one side; card fees, a deposit-wagering rule and a NZ$2 bet cap on the other.
- Good fit if: you want an NZD account and a pokies lobby with a wide studio list.
- Good fit if: you deposit by e-wallet or crypto, where Neteller, Skrill, MiFinity, MuchBetter, eMerchantPay, Neosurf, Flexepin and most coins cost nothing to withdraw.
- Good fit if: you can live with a NZ$2 max bet while a welcome bonus runs, and you want match bonus winnings uncapped.
- Think twice if: you pay by Visa or Mastercard, where 2.5% comes off deposits and withdrawals under a heading that promises no fees.
- Think twice if: you want to cash out without playing your deposit through first: clause 9.6 makes it three times over, or ten on table and live games.
- Think twice if: you dislike disputes being decided on the casino’s own server logs, or a 30-working-day ID check.

Six points out of twelve
Every casino here goes through the same twelve yes-or-no questions, answered only from published documents: terms, bonus terms, payments page, the regulator’s own site. If a document is unclear, the question scores nothing. Mirax lands on 6/12. The points come from an active licence we could see at the regulator, an operator named with company number and address, New Zealand sitting off the restricted list, an NZD account, offer cards that match the bonus terms, and a public page explaining limits, breaks and self-exclusion. It drops points on clause 7.8, which hands the casino the sole and final say on rule breaches, and 15.3, where its server logs decide game-result disputes. It also misses on fees, on a 72-hour processing window rather than 24, on the rule that makes you wager your deposit three times, on a welcome bonus that costs more than it gives in our NZ$100 test, and on the NZ$200 cap on free spin winnings. If you want the full method, this is how we review online casinos.

What the welcome offer is worth on NZ$100
The first deposit match is 100% up to NZ$800 plus 100 free spins, wagered at 35x the bonus, from a NZ$40 minimum with 14 days to finish. Put NZ$100 in and you get a NZ$100 bonus, so NZ$3,500 has to be played through. Pokies run at about 96%, so each NZ$1 wagered costs roughly 4 cents: about NZ$140 of expected loss against a NZ$100 bonus. That is more than the bonus gives, and 14 days works out at about 250 spins a day at NZ$1 while the stake is capped at NZ$2.
The good part comes after. The terms put no cash-out cap on the match bonus, so what survives the wagering is yours to withdraw. Spin winnings are a different story, capped at NZ$200. Note too that Mirax adds the first deposit bonus automatically, and once it is active your deposit is locked with it: finish the wagering or give the bonus up, and giving it up cancels any winnings from it.
| You deposit | NZ$100 |
|---|---|
| Bonus at 100% | + NZ$100 |
| Wagering: 35x on bonus only | NZ$3,500 to turn over |
| Average cost of that play (96% RTP pokies) | - NZ$140 |
| Bonus value left | -NZ$40 |
Costs a little more than it gives (-40% of the bonus survives its own wagering)
- Time on the clock
- 14 days = about 250 spins a day at NZ$1
- Biggest bet while wagering
- NZ$2 a spin (bonus terms, First Deposit Bonus 5)
- Most you can cash out
- No cap in the terms
- Free spins (not counted above)
- 100 on Candy Monsta (BGaming); free spin winnings wagered 35x and capped at 200 NZD; the spin value is not stated
How the test works: we put NZ$100 through the offer exactly as its terms read. Pokies pay back about 96 cents per dollar staked on average, so every NZ$1 of wagering costs about 4 cents. What is left of the bonus after that cost is its real value. It is an average, not a forecast: a single session can land far above or below it.
The catch is arithmetic, not fine print. At 35x, with a NZ$2 cap and 14 days, you are chasing a bonus that costs more than it pays on average. Before opting in, run the sum yourself: our wagering calculator takes seconds – and remember clause 9.6 applies to your deposit with or without a bonus.

The other offers through the same test
Mirax runs a set of offer cards beyond the welcome package, and each one went through the same on-paper maths.
| Offer | Deposit | Bonus | Wagering to clear | Value left | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Welcome package, 1st deposit (no code)100% up to NZ$800 + 100 free spins, 35x the bonus, from a NZ$40 deposit, 14 days | NZ$100 | NZ$100 | NZ$3,500 | -NZ$40 | Costs a little more than it gives |

| Welcome package, 4th deposit, code W4100% up to NZ$4,000, 35x the bonus, from a NZ$40 deposit, 14 days | NZ$100 | NZ$100 | NZ$3,500 | -NZ$40 | Costs a little more than it gives |
| Monday Reload Bonus, code MONDAY25% up to NZ$1,000 + 50 free spins, 35x, from a NZ$100 deposit, once each Monday | NZ$100 | NZ$25 | NZ$875 | -NZ$10 | Costs a little more than it gives |
Each offer is put through the same test: NZ$100, or the offer's minimum deposit if that is higher, and an average cost of 4 cents per NZ$1 wagered on pokies.
The 2nd, 3rd and 4th deposit matches keep the 35x structure, and the value comes out negative every time: NZ$75 needs NZ$2,625 of play, NZ$50 needs NZ$1,750, NZ$100 needs NZ$3,500, each costing more than the bonus gives. The Monday reload is no better: NZ$25 on a NZ$100 deposit, NZ$875 of turnover, about NZ$35 of expected cost. Our reload bonus page covers weekly offers in general. The welcome package offers run 14 days with no cash-out cap on the match part.
The spin-only offers at 35x or 45x have winnings capped at NZ$1,000. The Highroller cashback wants four deposits and a previous-day loss from NZ$400, carries 45x, allows one day to use it and caps winnings at ten times the cashback. Nothing here changes the maths.
Paying in and cashing out from New Zealand
The cashier runs in NZD from a NZ$10 minimum, and the listed e-wallets and coins are shown as instant and free on withdrawals. That is the good half. The expensive half is cards: Visa and Mastercard charge 2.5% on deposits and 2.5% on withdrawals, on tables headed with a promise of no fees. Neteller and Skrill deposits carry the same 2.5% with free withdrawals, and EcoPayz deposits cost 5%. On a NZ$100 card deposit, NZ$2.50 is gone before you spin.
Payout times are the casino’s published figures, not our timings, because we did not withdraw. E-wallets and crypto are listed as instant, cards at 3-5 banking days, bank transfer at 5-7 banking days from a NZ$500 minimum. The terms state processing within 72 hours of approval. Two rules apply to everyone: every deposit is wagered three times before withdrawal, ten times on table and live games, and the payment list looks global rather than local: it still shows Sofort and Interac. If instant cash-outs matter, see our fast payout casinos.

The casino's Payments page as shown to a New Zealand visitor on 10 Oct 2026 (deposit and withdrawal tables; the card rows were on screen again on 11 Oct). The list looks global rather than made for New Zealand: it also shows Sofort and Interac, which are left out here. Payout times and fees are the casino's own figures; the T&C add that withdrawals are processed within 72 hours of approval (11.6).

The limits on the way out
Withdrawal ceilings are: NZ$20,000 over a rolling seven days from your first cash-out in a month, reset again on the 1st, and NZ$80,000 a month. Progressive jackpots sit outside both and are paid in full. The minimum is NZ$20, or NZ$500 by bank transfer, and a single transaction caps at NZ$4,000, with larger sums split into instalments. Card payouts return to the card up to your net deposits, with the rest by another method. VIP levels 9 and 10 may get higher limits; no figures are given.

Who runs it and who licenses it
Mirax is operated by Saphirix Solutions SRL, company number 3-102-933997, at Ly Center, Avenidas 8 y 10, Calle 39, Los Yoses, San Pedro, Montes de Oca, San Jose, Costa Rica. The licence is Tobique Gaming Commission 0000091, and we checked the regulator’s validation page rather than trusting the footer. Following the seal took us to the regulator’s validation page, which names the same company at the same Costa Rican address, lists www.miraxcasino.com as registered and shows the status VALID under the Tobique Gaming Act 2023. It prints no licence number and no grant date, so 0000091 comes from clause 1.1 and the site footer. Disputes go to support, then the EGIS dispute service, with arbitration in Costa Rica and claims within one year. ID checks can run 30 working days.

Checked 11 Oct 2026: we followed the licence seal in the footer of the casino's New Zealand site to the regulator's validation page at validate.thetgc.ca. It names SAPHIRIX SOLUTIONS SRL at the same San Jose, Costa Rica address as the T&C, lists www.miraxcasino.com as the registered website and shows operating status VALID under the Tobique Gaming Act 2023. The validation page prints no licence number and no grant date; the number 0000091 comes from T&C 1.1 and the site footer. The page only opens from the seal on the casino site (each link carries a stamp that expires after about 20 minutes), so we do not link to it.

Limits and breaks you can set
Mirax’s public Responsible Gaming page explains the tools rather than hiding them behind a login: deposit limits by day, week or month; a loss limit and a wager limit over a chosen period; session reminders; a cooling-off break where deposits and promotions stop but withdrawals continue; and self-exclusion, temporary or permanent, arranged through support. The gap is crypto: deposit limits, cooling-off breaks and self-exclusion do not cover crypto transactions, and the page says so. Help services listed are Gamblers Anonymous, GamCare and Gambling Therapy, with no New Zealand service named.
- ✓Deposit limitsPer day, week or month. Crypto transactions are not covered; the casino suggests other limits for crypto.
- ✓Loss or wager limitsA loss limit based on deposits and a wager limit over a chosen period.
- ✓Session remindersA time cap for each session.
- ✓Cooling-off breakA temporary break with no deposits or promotions; withdrawals still possible. No durations on the Responsible Gaming page (the FAQ mentions a day, week or month). Crypto transactions are not covered.
- ✓Self-exclusionTemporary or permanent, for a fixed time or indefinitely, by contacting support; it does not apply to crypto deposits, although the account stays blocked.
- ~Help services listedGamblers Anonymous, GamCare and Gambling Therapy. No New Zealand service is named.

Clauses worth reading twice
A handful of clauses shape the deal more than any headline number, and these are the ones we flagged in the Mirax terms.
Every deposit has to be played through three times before it can be withdrawn, and ten times if you play table or live games. This applies whether or not you take a bonus.
9.6. Any deposit must be wagered three (3) times the deposited amount before you may withdraw those funds. For table and live games, deposits must be wagered ten (10) times the deposited amount.
T&C 9.6, version 1.0 of 11.05.2026 (read 10 and 11 Oct 2026)Card deposits and withdrawals cost 2.5%, and so do Neteller and Skrill deposits (EcoPayz deposits 5%), even though both tables on the Payments page are headed with a promise of no fees. On a NZ$100 card deposit that is NZ$2.50 gone before you play.
For example, a commission of 2.5% can be found on deposits and withdrawals from the casino via Payment Cards: Visa, Mastercard, and Maestro.
FAQ, Payments and Verification, read 11 Oct 2026; fee column of the Payments page, 10 and 11 Oct 2026While any welcome bonus is active the stake is capped at NZ$2 a spin, and the 35x has to be finished within 14 days.
The maximum bet you may place on a single spin, on wagering any Welcome Package bonus, may not exceed 2 NZD.
Bonus Terms and Conditions, Welcome Package, First Deposit Bonus 5 (read 11 Oct 2026)No cash-out cap on winnings from the welcome match bonuses. Only the welcome free spins are capped, at 200 NZD.
The maximum cashout from match bonus is unlimited.
Bonus Terms and Conditions, Welcome Package 3 (read 11 Oct 2026)The first deposit bonus is added automatically, without a code. Once a deposit bonus is active your deposit is locked with it: you either finish the wagering or give the bonus up, and giving it up also cancels any winnings from it.
Once you have received a deposit bonus, you must remember that your deposit will be blocked along with the bonus you received.
Bonus Terms and Conditions, General Bonus T&C 9 and First Deposit Bonus 2 (read 11 Oct 2026)ID checks can take up to 30 working days once you have sent everything, and a withdrawal is cancelled if the casino cannot reach you by phone or email within two weeks (T&C 8.4).
19.1. Consideration timelines for KYC documents could be up to 30 working days from the moment when the client provided all requested documents.
T&C 19.1 and 8.4, version 1.0 of 11.05.2026In a dispute over a game result the casino's own server records decide, and the casino keeps the final say on whether you broke a rule (T&C 7.8).
In any dispute regarding game results, the Casino’s server logs and records are final and binding.
T&C 15.3, version 1.0 of 11.05.2026Crypto deposits slip past the safety tools: deposit limits and cooling-off breaks do not apply to them, and self-exclusion does not cover crypto deposits either.
Please note that crypto transactions are not subject to cooling-off limits.
Responsible Gaming page 2.1 (version 1.02 of 01.07.2026), read 11 Oct 2026; also T&C 10.5Leave money in an account you stop using and after 12 months the casino can take a monthly fee from it until the balance is gone.
Once your Account becomes inactive, we reserve the right to charge a monthly dormancy fee of €20 (or currency equivalent), deducted from your remaining balance.
T&C 12.1, version 1.0 of 11.05.2026Withdrawal caps are high for an offshore site, 20,000 NZD a week and 80,000 NZD a month, and progressive jackpots are paid in full outside them.
Progressive jackpot wins are paid in full and do not count toward these limits.
T&C 11.8, version 1.0 of 11.05.2026

What we could not check
Some things about Mirax stayed out of reach from documents alone.
- We did not deposit or withdraw real money at Mirax. The payout times on this page are the casino's published figures, not our own timings.
- We did not open an account, so the limit and self-exclusion settings inside the account area were not seen.
- Which company you deal with may depend on where you connect from. The T&C shown to a New Zealand visitor (version 1.0, effective 11.05.2026) name Saphirix Solutions SRL of Costa Rica with a Tobique licence; on 28 Sep 2026 a visitor through an Irish connection was shown T&C naming Kika Technology B.V. of Curacao with a Curacao Gaming Authority licence. This page describes the New Zealand version.
- The regulator's validation page shows no licence number or grant date; the number 0000091 is the casino's own statement in T&C 1.1 and the footer.
- The FAQ contradicts the T&C and bonus terms in places: it gives withdrawal limits of 10,000 USD/EUR a week and 40,000 a month (T&C 11.8: 20,000 and 80,000 NZD) and a 20 USD/EUR minimum deposit for the welcome package (offer cards and bonus terms: 40 NZD). We used the T&C and the bonus terms.
- The VIP terms say welcome free spins are played on Aloha King Elvis, Wolf Treasure or Platinum Lightning Deluxe depending on the country, while the offer cards and bonus terms name Candy Monsta (1st deposit) and Johnny Cash (2nd). We used the offer cards.
- The value of each welcome free spin is not stated anywhere.
- How long the Monday reload stays active: the terms give 3 days to activate it but no period to finish the wagering.
- The affiliate link opens a landing page offering 100 free spins on West Town for a $10 deposit with code MX100. The page shows no wagering, cap or expiry, and the offer is not on the promotions page; the bonus terms say exclusive offers carry their own conditions.
- Payout speed in practice: the Payments page lists e-wallets and crypto as instant and the FAQ says up to 60 minutes for e-wallets, while T&C 11.6 says within 72 hours of approval. For bank transfers the Payments page says 5-7 banking days and T&C 11.10 says 3 business days.
- The deposit table lists crypto fees of 0.00002 (Bitcoin), 0.0035 (Litecoin) and 1.0 (Tether) without saying whether these are coin amounts or percentages.
- The payment list shown to a New Zealand visitor looks global rather than made for New Zealand: it also lists Sofort and Interac (left out of the table above), and we could not tell which of the listed methods actually work from New Zealand.
- Support response times and how long ID checks take in practice.

We followed the footer seal to the regulator’s validation page, which listed the site as registered and the status as VALID. That page shows no licence number or grant date, so the number comes from the casino’s own terms and footer.
Does Mirax charge fees on deposits and withdrawals?
Yes, in specific places. Visa and Mastercard cost 2.5% both ways, Neteller and Skrill deposits 2.5%, EcoPayz deposits 5%, and bank and InPay payouts 2.5%. E-wallet and crypto withdrawals are listed as free, as are deposits by MiFinity, MuchBetter, Piastrix, eMerchantPay, Neosurf and Flexepin.
Do I have to wager my deposit before withdrawing at Mirax?
Yes. Every deposit has to be played through three times before it can be withdrawn, and ten times if you play table or live games, whether or not you took a bonus. That is clause 9.6, and it sits apart from any bonus wagering you have running.
Is the Mirax welcome bonus worth taking?
On our NZ$100 test, the maths says no: the bonus is NZ$100, the 35x turnover is NZ$3,500, and the average cost of that play is about NZ$140. The argument for it is the uncapped cash-out on the match bonus. The argument against is 14 days, a NZ$2 max bet and a deposit locked until the wagering is done.
