Playmojo suits a particular player: someone who wants a large pokies lobby, an account that runs in NZD, and a licence from the Kahnawake Gaming Commission rather than the more common Curacao paperwork. If you treat a 40x bonus with a bit of care, the maths here is easy enough to follow.

Our frame for this review: we read the Terms and Conditions and the Bonus Terms in full, opened the payments page as a New Zealand visitor, followed the licence seal through to the regulator’s own certificate, and took screenshots from a New Zealand connection on 11 Oct 2026. We did not deposit, play for real money or withdraw. One sentence on Playmojo: an NZD-friendly lobby under a permit that checks out, held back by a 40x bonus that has to be cleared in three days and a rule that makes you wager every deposit three times.

Where Playmojo sits for a casual player

Two things decide it. The provider filter lists 195 studios, and the NZD account takes the guesswork out of what you are spending. The bonus terms matter here. Every welcome step and every weekly reload carries 40x wagering with three days to clear it, and the T&C add a separate three-times wagering rule on each deposit before you can cash out. Our 12-point check is where that cost shows up.

Good fit if:

  • You want an NZD account with 30 NZD minimums and e-wallets or crypto that the payments page lists as instant.
  • You mostly play pokies, and you are happy with a wagering rule that counts pokies at 100%.
  • You would rather see a Kahnawake permit checked at the regulator than an unverified seal.

Think twice if:

  • You want a bonus you can clear at a sensible pace. NZ$4,000 of bets in three days is the ask on a NZ$100 bonus.
  • You would break the 7.5 NZD maximum bet while a bonus is active, which can void every bonus win.
  • You plan to cash out by Mastercard. The T&C country list for Mastercard payouts leaves New Zealand out.

Seven out of twelve on the check

The check is twelve yes/no questions, each answered only from published documents, and any answer that stays unclear scores nothing. Playmojo met seven. Points came from a licence shown as active on the regulator’s own site, an operator with a company number and a Costa Rica address in the terms, New Zealand sitting outside the restricted list, an NZD account, no cash-out cap on welcome bonus winnings, offer cards that match the bonus terms, and limits and breaks explained in public. It lost five. Bonus terms 1.11 leave the final say in a bonus dispute with the casino, and T&C 17 make the casino’s records the final authority. The payments page calls every method free while T&C 11 allows a processing fee of the casino’s choosing if you withdraw a deposit before wagering it three times. Withdrawals run on a 72-hour aim rather than 24 hours, each deposit must be wagered three times, and the welcome bonus costs more than it gives on our NZ$100 test.

What the welcome offer is worth on NZ$100

The first deposit match is 100% up to NZ$1,000 plus 100 spins, with a NZ$30 minimum and 40x wagering on the bonus. Put NZ$100 in and you hold a NZ$100 bonus, and clearing it means turning over NZ$4,000. If pokies return about 96% on average, each NZ$1 wagered costs roughly 4 cents, so that turnover averages NZ$160 of cost against a NZ$100 bonus. Our value test lands on “Costs much more than it gives” for every step of the package, and the numbers back it up.

The clock is the bigger problem. Three days to clear NZ$4,000 is about 1,333 spins a day at NZ$1. The maximum bet while a bonus is active is 7.5 NZD, bonus buys and gamble features included, and one bet over that line can cost you every bonus win. On the plus side, no cash-out cap applies to the welcome package – the only cap on deposit bonuses is for matches of 300% or more, and the welcome steps run at 50% to 100%. The offer card and the bonus terms also describe the same offer, which is not something every casino manages.

How the test works: we put NZ$100 through the offer exactly as its terms read. Pokies pay back about 96 cents per dollar staked on average, so every NZ$1 of wagering costs about 4 cents. What is left of the bonus after that cost is its real value. It is an average, not a forecast: a single session can land far above or below it.

The catch is the three-day window. If you cannot realistically fit in several hundred spins a day, the bonus is likely to expire with money still tied up, and bonus terms 2.1 void the bonus and its winnings the moment you withdraw before wagering is finished. Run your own numbers first – our wagering calculator does the same sum with your own deposit size. Remember the free spins too: 100 of them on Fruit Million, with a spin stake that neither the card nor the bonus terms states.

The other offers, through the same test

Playmojo runs a four-step welcome package worth up to NZ$5,000 plus 300 spins, and the later steps carry the same terms. Deposits two, three and four use codes MOJO2, MOJO3 and MOJO4, and each keeps 40x with three days to clear.

Each offer is put through the same test: NZ$100, or the offer's minimum deposit if that is higher, and an average cost of 4 cents per NZ$1 wagered on pokies.

On the same NZ$100 basis, step two (50% up to NZ$1,000 plus 50 spins) turns a NZ$50 bonus into NZ$2,000 of turnover, about 667 spins a day, and leaves minus NZ$30. Step three is identical. Step four (75% up to NZ$1,500 plus 100 spins) gives a NZ$75 bonus, NZ$3,000 of turnover, about 1,000 spins a day, and minus NZ$45. The Tuesday Reload, code TUESDAY, matches step two exactly – 50% up to NZ$750 plus 20 spins, once a week, still 40x with no cash-out cap. Our reload bonus page explains how those weekly offers usually work.

Thursday and Friday are at 30% each, and this is where the paperwork differs. The Thursday Boost card shows $500 from $50 while the terms give New Zealand players up to NZ$750 from NZ$75. Friday Fortune’s card shows $100 from $20 while the terms say up to NZ$150 from NZ$30. The dollar figures on the cards differ from the NZD amounts in the terms, so check the cashier before you deposit. Sunday Funday tops it up with 50, 100 or 150 free spins for deposits of 75, 150 or 225 NZD, also at 40x, once a week.

Paying in and cashing out

The NZD account is real, and for a New Zealand visitor the payments page shows 30 NZD minimums across cards, vouchers, e-wallets and bank transfer, with crypto from the equivalent of 20 EUR. Visa and Mastercard deposits are instant and free, while Apple Pay (Mastercard), Paysafecard and Neosurf are deposit-only. Skrill, Neteller, ecoPayz and MiFinity are listed as instant for both directions, and so are Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Dogecoin and USDT. Card withdrawals are quoted at 1-3 banking days and bank transfer at 3-5. There is more on NZD accounts and e-wallet payouts elsewhere on the site.

Then the documents step in. The T&C aim to process withdrawals within 72 hours, and bank transfer payouts in principle within three banking days – a target, not a promise. Every deposit has to be wagered three times before withdrawal, bonus or not, and the T&C let the casino charge a processing fee of its choosing if you pull a deposit out early. Note also that the payments page offers Mastercard withdrawals while the T&C list of Mastercard payout countries leaves New Zealand out. Card deposits are refunded up to the total you put in by card, with any excess paid another way.

The limits on the way out

The cash-out caps are NZ$3,000 a day, NZ$7,500 a week and NZ$30,000 a month, with the weekly figure rolling over 7 days from your first cashout in a month and resetting on the 1st. The minimum withdrawal is NZ$30, or the equivalent of 20 EUR in crypto. Progressive jackpots are paid in full and are not squeezed through those caps, and the VIP page promises higher cashout limits for invited players without giving figures. Deposits or withdrawals over $10,000 may be stopped until the account is fully verified, and an account is locked if the casino cannot reach you within two weeks. Cashback and cash rewards carry 10x wagering with winnings capped at ten times the reward, and no-deposit bonus winnings are capped at NZ$75 even after wagering.

Who runs it and who licenses it

Playmojo is run by Aveazure SRL, company number 3-102-848946, at an address in Barrio Dent, San José, Costa Rica. The permit is Kahnawake. The certificate we reached from the footer seal names Aveazure SRL as permit holder, category Primary CPA, held since 3 May 2023 and expiring 3 May 2028, with a compliance audit completed 23 July 2025, plus www.playmojo.com and 14 numbered mirror domains. The Commission’s own permit holders list names Aveazure SRL too. The certificate does not print the licence number 940 that the casino quotes, so that figure rests on the footer and the terms. Complaints go to support first, then to the Commission within 7 days to 6 months of the incident, with arbitration in Cyprus and claims inside one year. An offshore permit means a regulator outside New Zealand, so your protection is contractual rather than local. Our gambling law guide sets out what that means in practice.

Limits and breaks you can set

The page describes a full set: daily, weekly or monthly deposit, loss and wager limits, a session limit that logs you out, a cooling-off break of one day to six months, and self-exclusion of at least six months or indefinitely if you report a gambling problem. Every one of them is arranged by asking support by email or live chat rather than by a switch in your account. Deposit limits cover fiat only – crypto is not included – and crypto can still land during a cooling-off break, though it cannot be used to bet. A new limit applies at once via live chat, while raising or removing one takes 24 hours. Reopening after self-exclusion happens only after six months, on written request, and a permanent exclusion across all brands licensed by the Commission can be requested from the Commission itself. No help organisation and no New Zealand service is named on the page. We did not open an account, so the settings as they look from inside stay unseen.

The pokies lobby splits into Slots, Jackpot, Bonus Buy, Megaways, Instant Win, Drops & Wins and Hold & Win, with live tables covering baccarat, blackjack, poker, roulette and game shows. Two things matter for bonus players: pokies count 100% towards wagering while table games and video poker count 5%, and about 200 named pokies plus all jackpot slots can be blocked while a bonus is running. Clauses worth reading twice

A handful of terms decide whether you get paid, and they read better before a deposit than after it.

  1. Every deposit has to be played through three times before it can be withdrawn, bonus or not. Withdraw earlier and the casino may charge a processing fee, with no amount set.

Any deposit has to be wagered 3 times (player must place bets three times of their deposit amount) before the withdrawal of funds connected to this deposit is available. [...] Otherwise the Casino has a right to charge a fee for the procession of deposit and withdrawal, which is at the sole decision of the Casino

    T&C 11 (Anti-Fraud Policy), version 2.5
  2. Only 3 days to clear 40x. On a NZ$100 bonus that is NZ$4,000 of pokies bets, well over a thousand NZ$1 spins a day.

The bonus expires in 3 days after being credited.

First deposit bonus offer card, read 11 Oct 2026; bonus terms 1.3 say the same
  3. The maximum bet while a bonus is active is 7.5 NZD, bonus buys and gamble features included. One bet over the line and every bonus win can be taken away.

The maximum bet limit applies to all wagers, including those placed after doubling a bet following a completed game round or during bonus rounds purchased within a game. Violating this rule will result in the forfeiture of all winnings derived from the bonus.

Bonus Terms and Conditions 2.2, last updated 28.02.2024
  4. In a bonus dispute the casino has the last word. The T&C also make the casino's own records the final authority in any dispute, though complaints can still go to the Kahnawake Gaming Commission.

In the event of a dispute, all decisions made by the casino will be final.

Bonus Terms and Conditions 1.11; see also T&C 17
  5. Leave money in an account you stop using and it starts paying a monthly fee after a year.

If your Player Account is deemed to be inactive, the Casino reserves the right to charge a monthly administrative fee of €25 or the equivalent in another currency (or the current balance of your account, if less) as long as the balance of your account remains positive.

    T&C 15 (Dormant Accounts), version 2.5
  6. Deposit limits do not cover crypto, and crypto deposits can still land during a cooling-off break. If you want a hard ceiling, deposit by card or e-wallet.

Deposit limits are applicable only for fiat currency deposits.

Responsible Gaming page 3.1, last updated 15.11.2024
  7. The Payments page offers Mastercard withdrawals, but the T&C list the countries where Mastercard payouts are supported and New Zealand is not one of them. Plan on an e-wallet, bank transfer or crypto to cash out.

For Mastercard, only the following countries are supported: Andorra, Austria, Belgium, [...] Turkey, and the United Kingdom.

    T&C 13 (Withdrawal Policy), version 2.5
  8. The Thursday and Friday reload cards show smaller dollar figures than the bonus terms. The terms give New Zealand players up to NZ$750 from NZ$75 on Thursday and up to NZ$150 on Friday; check the cashier before you deposit.

Every Thursday, deposit $50 or more between 00:00 and 23:59 UTC using bonus code THURSDAY to get a 30% up to $500 Bonus.

Thursday Boost offer card and Bonus Terms and Conditions section 4, read 11 Oct 2026
  9. No cash-out cap on the welcome package. The only cap on deposit bonuses is for matches of 300% or more, and the welcome steps are 50-100%.

For deposit match bonuses with 300% offer and above, the maximum withdrawable amount from winnings generated during the bonus session is limited to ten (10) times the player’s deposit

Bonus Terms and Conditions 2.4, last updated 28.02.2024
  10. Progressive jackpots are not squeezed through the daily, weekly or monthly caps.

All progressive jackpot wins will be paid in full.

What we could not check

We did not deposit or withdraw at Playmojo, so several things stay open. The payout times here are the casino’s published figures, not our own timings, and because we never opened an account we did not see the limit, cooling-off or self-exclusion settings from inside. We cannot tell you what a free spin is worth, whether Mastercard withdrawals work for New Zealand cards, whether the fee for an unwagered deposit is ever charged, or how NZD is converted into the internal euro balance.

  • We did not deposit or withdraw real money at Playmojo. The payout times on this page are the casino's published figures, not our own timings.
  • We did not open an account, so the limit and self-exclusion settings inside the account area were not seen.
  • The value of each free spin. Neither the offer cards nor the bonus terms state a spin stake.
  • Whether Mastercard withdrawals work for New Zealand cards. The Payments page lists them; the T&C country list for Mastercard payouts does not include New Zealand.
  • Whether the processing fee for withdrawing a deposit that was not wagered three times is ever charged, and how much. The T&C leave it to the casino.
  • The Kahnawake certificate does not show a licence number; the number 940 comes from the casino's own footer and T&C.
  • How the casino converts NZD to its internal euro balance. The T&C only say the card charge may be slightly higher than shown.
  • Support response times and how long ID checks take in practice.

Questions we get asked

Is Playmojo licensed and safe for New Zealand players?

The licence checks out as far as we can verify. Playmojo holds a Kahnawake Gaming Commission permit through Aveazure SRL, category Primary CPA, held since 3 May 2023 and expiring 3 May 2028, and the operator appears on the Commission’s own permit holders list. The certificate does not show the licence number 940 the casino quotes. Safe is relative: you are dealing with an offshore regulator, so complaints take a different route than they would at home.

Can I play at Playmojo in my own currency?

Yes. An NZD account is available, and the payments page shows 30 NZD minimums for a New Zealand visitor. Crypto minimums are set as 20 EUR equivalents. The casino runs in euros internally, and the terms only say the charge on your card may be slightly higher than shown, without explaining the conversion.

Do I have to wager my deposit before I can withdraw from Playmojo?

You do, and the rule applies with or without a bonus. T&C 11 says every deposit must be played through three times before withdrawal, and if you withdraw earlier the casino may charge a processing fee of its choosing, with no amount set. On a NZ$100 deposit that is NZ$300 of turnover before your own money is free to leave.

Is the Playmojo welcome bonus worth taking?

As a profit plan, probably not. A NZ$100 deposit produces a NZ$100 bonus that needs NZ$4,000 of pokies turnover in three days, which averages around NZ$160 of cost against the bonus. No cash-out cap applies, which helps, and the 7.5 NZD maximum bet is easy to break if you like bigger spins. If you take it, treat the three-day clock as the real condition.

I’m not your pastor, and I’m not here to save souls. But after years studying digital user behavior, working inside a gaming startup, and seeing NZ gambling law, RNG fairness, and bonus T&Cs twisted to hook players, I can’t sit quiet. I know how mobile casinos are built — I helped design some of the hooks. Now I tear them apart, call out the scams, and show players (especially the young ones) where the fun stops and the trap begins.
